Hotel X Toronto

Part of the Library Hotel Collection, one of the most elite chains of hotel properties in the world, Hotel X Toronto is a hotel and sports club complex on the grounds of Exhibition Place in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. This worldclass hotel provides guests with an elegant experience that redefines hospitality, including exceptionally designed meeting and event spaces, a year-round rooftop pool, exquisite dining, and expansive tennis, fitness, and wellness facilities. These amenities, coupled with the hotel’s exclusive theatres and a one-of-a-kind photographic art gallery, provide a new kind of luxury unmatched in Toronto.

THE CHALLENGE

Hotel X Toronto was a brand-new build designed with the customer experience in mind. So it was critical that the AV and collaboration technology in the luxurious meeting and event spaces be highly intuitive, flexible, reliable, and secure. 

THE SOLUTION

Systems integrator Global Unified Solution Services designed an AV platform powered by Crestron to accommodate the hotel’s many multifunctional spaces including corporate boardrooms, large ballrooms, public areas, and a cinema.

John Busza, System Designer, worked hand-in-hand with Raouf Riad, Director of Information Technology at Hotel X Toronto, to develop a flexible AV system that could easily be configured to meet the needs of anyone who enters the event spaces.

THE TECHNOLOGY

“At Hotel X Toronto, we welcome more than one-thousand guests every week, many of whom are professionals,” explains Riad. “When building this hotel, my team and I wanted to ensure each guest had everything they needed during the duration of their stay, including those traveling on business.”

Crestron DigitalMedia™ technology allows Hotel X Toronto to distribute and manage all video and control signals on a single, rock-solid platform. Additionally, the system is segregated across separate networks to protect the hotel in instances such an unexpected power outage.  

Throughout event spaces and meeting rooms, more than 50 Crestron TSW touch screens provide guests and staff with control at all times. The user interface is clean and easy-to-use, providing everyone with a premier user experience. With just the touch of a button, guests and staff can customize spaces to suit the needs of their meeting or event, or share content with others in the room.

Thanks to Crestron, Hotel X Toronto is equipped with a robust and flexible technology solution for meetings and events that both guests and hotel staff can rely on – and one that also perfectly complements the luxury hospitality and entertainment experience.
